you'll never see me without my; Alex thinks her body is just fine, and she wouldn’t get surgery to change it. She has curves in all the right places, and nothing is out of proportion. Of course, she isn’t the bustiest girl there’s ever been, but she isn’t flat chested. Her weight isn’t that of a starved supermodel, but it’s good for her height and build. She is relatively short, only coming to five feet six inches, but it doesn’t matter. As for her skin, Emily could probably pass for an emo kid if she dressed completely like that. Her skin is a bit pale, and she doesn't tan. She just burns, which is why she hates being out in the sun for too long.
Emily's eye makeup can be a bit heavy, but she can pull it off. It makes her blue eyes stick out. The most she’s worn on a normal day on her lips is lipgloss, because she doesn’t like lipstick very much. Her hairstyles vary by day, and she can do a lot with her pink hair because it’s pretty long, reaching just about the middle of her back. Her attire varies by day, though it'll most likely consist of a pair of skinny jeans and a band tee.
Emily also has a septum ring and dahlia piercing, which isn't very normal. She actually likes the way they look and likes that not many people have them. Her ears are pierced, but what girl doesn't have that? As of now, she only has one tattoo, though more will probably be added. It is LA on her shoulder, and it was done for her mother. Her mother has always been a very important part of her life, so she got her initials tattooed upon her shoulder. Many people at first think it's for the place, but it isn't. She's never even been there.

▪ OPEN – Alex is open in more than one way. She’s open to anything you have to say to her, whether it’s an insult or a compliment. She’s open as in she’ll let you know what she’s thinking or feeling. And she’s open in the way that she’ll do just about anything with someone she finds attractive or worth her time. She isn’t necessarily a slut; it’s just how she was brought up. Alexandra is comfortable with her sexuality, and she’s not afraid to be herself. People make mistakes and people like to talk, so she’ll let you know whatever you want about her. Her peers don’t scare her anymore, and she knows they can’t do anything to really hurt her. Her whole childhood basically made her the person she is now. Her mother taught her to be a very open person.
▪ LAID BACK – She doesn’t really care if you fuck up or try to start a fight. She rarely yells, and usually tries to solve everything by talking it out. She hates commotion and lots of loud noises, so fights really only occur if she’s extremely angry, which doesn’t happen too often. Anger has never come quickly to anyone in her immediate family or any of her friends. The atmosphere of where she’s lived has been calm and content her whole life, thus creating her calm nature. It’s odd for someone who lives in the city, because most people are rushing around and lose their tempers easily.
▪ CARING – Alex loves everyone, and she wants to make sure they’re okay. Not really loves, but she likes almost everyone. Not too many people are mean to her now, so they all deserve to be in good health and not be hurt. They might not help her if she was hurt or being bullied, but that doesn’t matter. Her motto is ‘Treat others as you would like to be treated’ and she follows it all the time, unless she really does have an enemy. Then she won’t treat them that well, and they generally will never be able to be in the same room together. It would turn into an instant argument, and possibly a yelling match if she hated you enough. If she just disliked you, it’d be an argument. Then again, it all depends on her mood.
▪ PLEASER – She likes to make sure everyone is happy. Not to where she’d go out of her way to do something drastic for someone, but she likes her friends to be in a good mood and get what they want. If they want a certain CD or something of the like, and Alexandra sees it in a store, she’ll buy it without any hesitation. If someone wants to just be left alone and have a relaxing day, she’ll make sure that happens. If it’s in a relationship, she’ll make sure her boyfriend or girlfriend is always happy and has everything reasonable that they want. Even if a random stranger needs help carrying something or if they’re looking for a certain object, she’ll help them. Everyone needs to be treated as an equal, and the smallest of gestures counts.
▪ ARTISTIC – Growing up in a very calm household helped Alex realize her skills early on. The girl is a talented artist and singer, though she never flaunts these characteristics. They’ve helped her be the kind of person she is, letting her release her pent up feelings into whatever she’s doing. Instead of freaking out at a friend for something or crying over something saddening, she’ll lock herself in her room and draw or write songs. She will openly get a bit angry or cry, but never to the point of complete self destruction. Self destruction for Alex is extremely unlikely due to her ways. You have to happy in the world, or you’re not living right. Drawing and singing help her release her emotions and be at peace with herself.
▪ TRUSTING – Sometimes being trusting is a bad thing. Alex has that problem. She trusts people a little too easily, and that leads to her getting taken advantage of a lot. People will use her just to get what they want or to get something out of her. She never really learns, and just keeps making new friends just to be hurt. None of her friends are really that true, because they’re trying to get something or just trying to have more friends. Alexandra isn’t one to be considered popular, but if you want to have a lot of friends, she’d be someone you’d go to for an increased friend count. People even go to her for physical relationships because she’s very open and at peace with her body.
▪ THINKER – Everything happens for a reason. Religion has never been a part of her life, and has rarely entered her mind. No one ever spoke much about any Gods or anything, so she believed there was a real reason for everything. Oftentimes, when she’s alone, Alex will look outside and think of how everything came to be or how certain natural occurrences form in the sky. She doesn’t think of it as science, but just as nature. Science makes things sound so difficult and advanced. She doesn’t like to think like that, which is why her grades in school weren’t that good. She’d rather day dream and think about how things happen in her own theories. Math and History are useless to her; the future is what she thinks about more than how things were in the past.
▪ ACCEPTING – If you’re straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, or even transsexual, the girl will be friends with you. If you’re African-American, Caucasian, Indian, or any other race, she’ll be friends with you. Nothing matters except who you are on the inside. If you’ve got a great personality and a great disposition, Alex will hang out with you. Even if you don’t, she’ll try to be friends with you. She likes people because they’re interesting, and she wasn’t to be exposed to all different kinds of people. She doesn’t want to find any tradition or habit odd if she travels or meets new people somewhere else in the city or country. Alex is already different than everyone else with how she grew up; people should be exposed to the diversity the world holds. Culture intrigues her, so if she’s reading any books or watching any TV programs, the topic is going to be another culture. Most find it odd, but she doesn’t find it weird at all.
▪ LIKES HERSELF – No, Alex isn’t vain at all. She really isn’t. She’s just grown to like herself and her body. Her flaws make her different, and her personality is one she’s become proud of. Nothing about her will change for someone else to approve of her or for them to find her worthy of something. Even if she was chubby and her face was covered in blemishes, Alex wouldn’t care. She’d still love herself for what was on the inside and what made her appearance different. She does wear makeup, but that’s only because she finds the colors beautiful and they make her look even different. Her hair is long, and it’s all hers. She doesn’t wear extensions, and will not be getting her hair cut any time soon. Part of being a good person is loving yourself, and she has that covered.[/size][/ul]

Alexandra wasn’t a mistake, but she wasn’t exactly planned. Though, with the lifestyle her mother led, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Her mother, Lacey, wasn’t exactly a whore, but she wasn’t the normal nineteen year old. Her parents were rich; her father was the head of an extremely large company and retired early at the age of forty-five. Her mother was just a plain stay at home mom. They were under the impression she was living in an apartment because her college studies demanded so, but she wasn’t attending college much. The money they were sending her went towards food and living costs and weed. Yes, weed. Lacey’s day consisted of sleeping, eating, getting high with friends, and then having sex with one of said friends. Sometimes it wasn’t always her friend; one of her friends brought over one of their friends who brought one of their friends. That was actually how Alex came to be. One day, her mother was hanging out with friends, getting extremely high, when she decided to sleep with a friend’s friend. She didn’t even know their name well, but it didn’t matter. It never did matter. That happened, and Lacey soon found out she was pregnant. She didn’t freak out or anything. It was fine with her. She loved kids.
Though her parents weren’t happy about the pregnancy, mostly because she said it happened at a party one night, they supported her. They helped her with all the doctor visits and necessary furnishings. They gave her extra money because she’d be unable to work for a little while. Lacey told her parents she didn’t want to resume going to college, and they understood completely. They would have taken care of everything, but their daughter refused. If they did, they’d realize she had never attended the college in the first place. So, nothing was ever spoken about college again. During the nine months, Lacey had given up the drugs to ensure her daughter’s health was good. An unhealthy baby wouldn’t fair well with her parents. They’d make her give it up. So, throughout the pregnancy, the woman took care of herself. Her friends still hung out with her and did those things, just not at the same time. She told them it wasn’t allowed anymore, at least not until she had the child. Even though she did enjoy their daily activities, a new life was more important. After all, it was only nine months.
Eight, really. On May fourth, Lacey went into labor. Alexandra was born about three hours later, and her full name was Alexandra Raquel Mitchell. Her mother was amazed by how beautiful her baby was. Of course, it was more because it was her own child, but she had only thought parents said those things about their children because they felt they had to. The woman truly saw how great new life was. Her daughter was perfect too. The infant rarely cried, and slept well. That was good, considering she’d be back to her old habits in a week. Alex’s mother was more or less a modern day hippie, so she wasn’t about to go out and get a regular job and lead a regular life. This is what it was. By the age of five, Alexandra had been exposed to (never actually used) more drugs than the average teenager. She did go to school, but her mother never stressed over it. It wasn’t something that was important, or so she thought. Life was more about living to the fullest than worrying about everything people knew. So, on weekends, Alex would spend time with her mother and her friends, but she never tried the things they did. She just talked with them and laughed, though she didn’t understand some of the stuff. She didn’t understand the exact concept of drugs, nor the kissing and over activities. She learned from a young age that there wasn’t anything wrong with having feelings for someone of the same gender or being yourself. Her mother promoted self-acceptance very much. Things changed as the girl got older though.
Going through school, the concept of homosexuality came up at various times, and everyone was against it. It seemed as though it was a dreadful thing. She didn’t understand. Not every household was like hers, this she knew, but didn’t everyone like equality? Apparently not. Those who were considered normal were more equal than others by how they were talking. In sixth grade, Alexandra knew there was something different about her. All of her friends were talking about the boys they liked, and she simply didn’t find many of them attractive in that way. She found more girls attractive, and she was afraid to tell anyone. It wasn’t normal at school. At home it was fine, but not at school. She felt like she’d be shunned if she told everyone. The girl was even afraid to tell her own mother. For a few years she kept it a secret, not telling anyone what was going on in her mind. When someone asked if she liked a boy, she’d say no, because she usually had a crush on a girl. They’d never speak to her again if they knew she wasn’t attracted to boys as much as they were. They’d probably think she was going to make a move on them, even though she wouldn’t. Alex knew the boundaries of a friendship. Besides, she wasn’t attracted to any of her friends then.
In eighth grade, Alexandra met a friend who was like her. Well, not completely like her, but close enough. She learned after they hung out a few times though. The girl, Noelle, was bisexual, and Alex felt her secret was safe with her. Noelle was the first person who knew the truth about Alex’s sexuality. They were friends, but the friendship held a bit more than that. The two would kiss on occasion, and they were attracted to each other. It wasn’t so much for a relationship, but enough to let the other know. The two became best friends within the first two months of school, and no one had any idea of their true relationship. Until something happened, that is. Noelle and Alex decided to skip a class one day and hang out together. There was one storage closet that they knew no one ever used or anything, so they planned to meet there. They were just going to chill and hang out. So, during their math classes, the two snuck to the storage closet and turned on the light. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to see the other person and function normally. Their backpacks were thrown off to the side and they listened to music and talked about everything. The bell rang for the next class, and they didn’t want to leave. They decided to skip another period in there. The girls continued what they had been doing, but the conversation turned more to flirting. Noelle started it, and Alex just continued it. Before long, the two were making out. There was nothing wrong with it because no one would look, right? Apparently not. A teacher decided to look in the closet, and they clearly saw the girls kissing since the light was on. They hadn’t been even expecting a teacher to find them, so it took a few seconds to fully realize someone was there. They were suspended for five days.
Alex returned home that day, and she didn’t tell her mother what happened. She just said they suspended her for five days. Lacey didn’t see it as a terrible thing and asked no questions. Word spread around school, and the girl and her friend soon became outcasts. No one wanted to hang out with them, and they had no friends. Alexandra didn’t like herself anymore, and became slightly depressed. Even before she was back at school people told her they weren’t going to speak to her anymore. That being thrown on top of her poverty (compared to everyone else) didn’t help her much. Those feelings lasted the duration of the suspension. After that, she decided her mother needed to know the truth. If she started with her mother, it’d be easier to tell everyone else. She told her mother flat out that she liked girls and boys, and the woman still supported the girl. She was happy for her daughter that she knew who she was, and Lacey instantly decided to help her find a girlfriend or, if she wanted, a boyfriend. Alex refused, saying she wasn’t ready for a relationship just yet. Instead, she joined her mother on weekends in her normal schedule, falling into that routine. It wasn’t so much the drugs as the sex, but even that wasn’t a lot. She basically just hung out with her mother, her mother’s friends, and their kids. Within a year, she’d done drugs and slept with a few people, all of which her mother knew. Life was turning out fine for Alex.
That January, Lacey’s parents became aware of what was going on. They learned of the drugs and their granddaughter’s sexuality. They greatly disapproved, and they intervened right away. Lacey was to live at their house, where she would learn how to be a proper mother and get a normal job. To straighten Alex out, they decided to send her to a boarding school in New York City. She didn’t want that at all, but she had no choice. She was shipped off immediately. To her, the city was too loud. She liked life in the New Jersey town better. She had no choice though, so this was where she was to live. It took a few months to get used to, but Alex managed to survive in New York. She barely graduated, but that didn't matter. As soon as she could, Alexandra moved back in with her mother. Lacey's parents didn't have the patience to change their daughter, so they left her. She went back to her old lifestyle, and Alex helped her with the money and everything. She saw nothing wrong with how her mother was living.
Doing hair and makeup soon became an interest of Alex's, and she realized it might even be a career for her. She had made some friends at school, and heard of a band being formed. They needed help, and she could provide it. Now, she's on tour doing hair and makeup.
